Farmer, Sandra Yager Farms | Educator | Advocate for Regenerative Agriculture and Health
Sandra Yager is the owner of Sandra Yager Farms, a woman-owned, small-scale regenerative
farm rooted in the belief that healthy soil grows healthy food—and healthy communities. After
spending 20 years as an elementary school teacher in both public and homeschool education,
Sandra has brought her love of learning and teaching into the fields, where she now cultivates
more than crops—she cultivates connection, curiosity, and care for the land.
Her journey into regenerative agriculture began with a simple but powerful question: What if the
way we grow food could help heal people too? That question sparked a deep desire to create a
health-forward movement that bridges farming and healthcare, focusing on food as the
foundation of wellness.
At Sandra Yager Farms, she uses regenerative practices that build soil health, restore
biodiversity, and produce nutrient-rich food. But her vision extends far beyond the farm. Sandra
is passionate about developing a farm-to-school program that brings fresh, local meals to
students while teaching them where their food comes from and how it impacts their health and
the planet.
As a member of the Farmer Ag Network Board, Sandra brings the heart of a teacher and the
hands-on experience of a farmer. She believes education is key to lasting change—and that when
children understand the power of good food and good soil, they become stewards of a healthier
future.
When she’s not working the land or sharing her passion for regenerative practices, Sandra enjoys
spending time with family, connecting with her local community, and dreaming up new ways to
bring farming, food, and education together in meaningful ways.
